Check out the video at the annual AJ Women in Architecture Luncheon expressing why the event is so important for women in the profession. If you’re having difficultly watching the video, you’re not alone. Originally the video was on vimeo but was taken down. If you do a web search, you’re available to view the video. For some reason, you need to become a subscriber with the link I provided (can’t explain why).
The luncheon, held on February 7th at London’s Langham Hotel and attended by leading industry professionals from Zaha Hadid to Angela Brady, celebrated talented women architects.
Founding partner of Mecanoo, Francine Houben, was awarded this year’s Woman Architect of the Year Award, while sole practitioner and PhD candidate Julia King was named AJ Emerging Woman Architect of the Year Award.
The Architects’ Journal is a weekly architectural magazine published in London. Commonly referred to by architects as the AJ, its articles concentrate mainly on British architecture.
